Raves

I'm a big fan of good quality make up and skin care.

When I got pregnant, I skipped using my MAC cosmetics and switched to using mineral make up (MMU). It was not easy to find 'the one'. What worked for others might not work for me so I cannot solely rely on recommendations and I have no patience to try ALL brands because there are so MANY!

I ended up using Colorescience. I can now say that this is my holy grail (HG) compact MMU.

I'm on my 2nd compact already. The first lasted me for a loooong time...:)

Bye-bye MAC Studio Fix, FOR GOOD. :) You served me well for many years. It's about time to 'level up'. LOL

Exfoliation is as important as cleansing. I exfoliate regularly to remove impurities of my skin (and hair). What I'm using now on my face is CURE. Another HG for me. :)

Double thumbs up!

I hope this to be available in local Watson's soon.

"BER" Month Has Begun

Posted by TBB at Wednesday, September 01, 2010 0 comments
I first heard a Christmas song on TV this morning. I've been using 'how time flies" countless times on my blog but seriously, time is indeed running so fast! I still can remember Christmas last year I was about 3 months preggo and now, my babies are going 4 months already. W-H-E-W!

Christmas this year would be extra special because of the 3 addition to our family or shall I say, this would be the first Christmas with my own family.

I feel so good.

Tammy reads...

Great marriages produce great parents.

"A healthy husband-wife relationship is essential to the emotional health of children in the home. When there is harmony in the marriage, there is stability within the family. A strong marriage provides a haven of security for children as they grow in the nurturing process. Healthy, loving marriages create a sense of certainty for children. When a child observes the special friendship and emotional togetherness of his parents, he or she is more secure simply because it isn't necessary to question the legitimacy of the parents' commitment to one another.

Children posses an amazing type of "radar" that hones in on parental conflict. When a child perceives more weakness than strength in his or her parents' relationship, a low-level anxiety results, ultimately putting a strain on every other learning discipline the child experiences. A child knows intuitively, just as his or her own parents knew when growing up, that if something happens to mom and dad, the child's whole world will collapse. If the parents' relationship is in question in the mind of a child, that child will live his life on the brink of collapse.

When the marital relationship is made beautiful, what impressionable child would not want to be part of the family? When two are mysteriously and beautifully united in marriage, what child would not seek the comforts of that togetherness? The best years of parenting will flow out of the best years of marriage. Protect your marriage!"

Stormy Weather

I feel so uneasy today.

It's been raining non-stop for hours and heard there's flood on some areas of Metro Manila already. I had a traumatic experience almost a year ago during the super typhoon Ondoy. I don't want a part 2.

I used to love the rain. Now, it's different. I get jittery every time I hear rain drops. Sigh...

Please Lord, don't make us experience flood again.

Birthday Gift

I've been wanting to get a new point-and-shoot camera to replace my old one (though it is still serving me well for like 4 years already). Canon for me is something that can last you for years. I don't know what got into me that now I want to explore the manual buttons of a camera for me to get better pictures without using a flash. Well to begin with, I've read somewhere that using a camera flash can be harmful to baby's eyes.

So the search has begun...

Choices were trimmed down to 2 options: Canon G10 and G11 (newer model).

To make the story short, I preferred G10 over G11:

- Canon G10 has better reviews than G11
- I don't like moving parts in any of my gadgets to avoid flex problems later on. G11 has this tilting and rotating LCD
- Friends and some photography enthusiasts advised me to get G10

However, G10 is something hard to find now since there is G11 already and by October, G12 will be launched.

I was hopeless until Hubby surprised me on the eve of my birthday! (He wanted to give me a DSLR but I  think I'm not ready yet. I still want a compact camera that I can just carry anytime, anywhere).

I was jumping for joy! :)  Thanks Bee!

Now its time, to learn. Haha.

Parenthood

Without a doubt, becoming a parent is a life-changing experience. In other words, your life will never be the same. But as any parent will tell you, and as you'll soon find out for yourselves --- it's a life-changing experience that is likely to bring a change for the better...or even more likely, the best.

March 29, 2010

Today marks our 2nd wedding anniversary. Nothing fancy happened.

DH and I went malling and pigged out (as usual) and offered mass at St. Pio chapel. I find it difficult walking and sitting for too long now. I'm always hungry feeling hot and sweaty. So I prefer staying at home or go somewhere with AC (mall, movie house). I can't stand the heat!

I wish we were in Boracay or Bellaroca...I can't travel far, so we'll just stay in Subic for a few days. No beach or swimming for me. Next year, pay back time (hopefully!)

I never get tired watching our on-the-day wedding video. Allow me to share it with you.

I love the song, perfect.  More years for us!
