I've been wanting to get a new point-and-shoot camera to replace my old one (though it is still serving me well for like 4 years already). Canon for me is something that can last you for years. I don't know what got into me that now I want to explore the manual buttons of a camera for me to get better pictures without using a flash. Well to begin with, I've read somewhere that using a camera flash can be harmful to baby's eyes.
So the search has begun...
Choices were trimmed down to 2 options: Canon G10 and G11 (newer model).
To make the story short, I preferred G10 over G11:
- Canon G10 has better reviews than G11
- I don't like moving parts in any of my gadgets to avoid flex problems later on. G11 has this tilting and rotating LCD
- Friends and some photography enthusiasts advised me to get G10
However, G10 is something hard to find now since there is G11 already and by October, G12 will be launched.
I was hopeless until Hubby surprised me on the eve of my birthday! (He wanted to give me a DSLR but I think I'm not ready yet. I still want a compact camera that I can just carry anytime, anywhere).
I was jumping for joy! :) Thanks Bee!
Now its time, to learn. Haha.
